Welcome from Rector Stephen Rowe
For whatever reason you find yourself here, we pray that God may bless you and your loved ones. The Anglican Church of the Epiphany is part of the Diocese of New Westminster, which in turn is part of the Anglican Church of Canada, itself one of the Provinces of the world-wide Anglican Communion, with over 75 million members. Our parish aims to be a caring and friendly community, and we welcome everyone. We, the members of the Church of Epiphany, recognize that we have a common bond in prayer and outreach to the community around us. The members of our congregation come from all over Surrey as well as from Langley and Delta. The focus of our life together is the Holy Eucharist (Communion), which is celebrated every Sunday at 10:30 am, and on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm along with a short meditation. Our music is a mix of traditional and contemporary. Except for summer months, there is Sunday School most Sundays, for younger parishioners aged 4 and up. We have also just launched "Journey to Adulthood" for young people. After service, we take time for friendship and conversation at Coffee Hour. Our Church is in a time of change - both challenging and exciting! We continue to listen to God's call by working through the Ministry Assessment Program (MAP) to help us define who we are and where we are going.

A Message from Deacon Len Dyer
In the Anglican Church of Canada, there are three orders of ordained ministry: bishops, priests (or presbyters) and deacons. Some are called to become ordained as deacons for life.
The deacon's vocation is to act as bridge between the church and the world. In church, the deacon is the ordained person who stands at the right of the priest at the altar, reads the Gospel, preaches, and distributes the sacrament to the congregation. Within the parish itself, a deacon may engage in leading small prayer or study groups, training and working with sanctuary workers, assisting the rector and helping parishioners in distress. The deacon's other vocation may be to be out in the community visiting the sick and dying. The deacon may in various ways work with the less fortunate and marginalized of the community, advocating for those who cannot find their own way. Deacons often assist people with spiritual as well as the more obvious needs.
Jesus loved and served us with His life. He asks all baptised people in his church to go and do the same for others using the precious gifts He has given us for the good of the church and the world. The deacon serves as an example of servant ministry.
If you'd like to know more about the diaconate, I would be pleased to discuss this vocation with you, or you may wish to ask your parish priest.
